It’s a legacy that hasn’t gone unnoticed by the Tigers organization, and it’s why they chose Watson Clinic to serve as the official medical provider for the Detroit Tigers Florida Operations and Lakeland Flying Tigers many decades ago. Our collaboration continues to thrive to this day.

For over 83 years, we’ve delivered the same major league care to patients of all ages throughout our community. What began in a single office building consisting of five specialists in 1941 has blossomed into one of the largest physician-owned healthcare establishments in the southeastern United States. Today, Watson Clinic features a winning lineup of over 350 highly trained physicians and medical providers, more than 40 medical and surgical specialties, and 19 convenient locations spread across Polk, Pasco and Hillsborough counties.

The Clinic has introduced residents to many of modern history’s most significant innovations – from cardiac stress testing to minimally-invasive robotic surgery. Our efforts in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine have epitomized this spirit of innovation. Our highly experienced specialists offer a roster of expert services including minimally total or partial joint replacement, arthroscopic repair, ligament reconstruction, hand surgery and podiatric surgery. On the nonsurgical front, we provide joint injections, fracture care, splitting and casting, physical and occupational therapies, athletic training, chiropractic medicine, and injury prevention techniques.

The department has even expanded into the Winter Haven community with a new location. Watson Clinic Orthopaedics at Winter Haven provides comprehensive consultations and treatments, as well as a smooth continuity of care when surgery is needed at the neighboring Winter Haven Hospital.
