Wound Care

Wound care physicians and providers are committed to the treatment of slow or non-healing wounds. These are not your typical wounds and require specialized treatment. When left untreated or neglected, these wounds can lead to chronic disease, infection, poor circulation or even amputation.

Watson Clinic is pleased to offer the expertise of board-certified specialists who possess a wealth of experience in the field of wound care and hyperbaric medicine.

Wound care experts frequently work in concert with additional Watson Clinic specialists from fields as diverse as podiatry, oncology-hematology, radiology, plastic & reconstructive surgery and infectious diseases.

Situations that may warrant the involvement of a wound care specialist include:

  • Foot ulcers resulting from diabetes
  • Ulcers or other wounds resulting from radiation therapy
  • Repeated infections of the bone
  • Collaborations with interventional radiologists during revascularization efforts

For certain types of wounds, oxygen therapy may prove essential in promoting healing. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) delivers 100 percent oxygen to the patient in a pressurized chamber.

Your physician will recommend the course of treatment best suited to your condition.
