Bartow Chamber Previews New Hospital


Watson Clinic Chief Executive Officer Jason Hirsbrunner and Senior Vice President of Orlando Health’s Midwest Florida region Carlos Carrasco addressed members of the Bartow Chamber of Commerce prior to their tour around our new hospital facility. 

Additional community groups have toured Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital in the weeks leading up to its July opening, including the Central Florida Development Council, the United Way of Central Florida Board of Directors, Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine, GiveWell Community Foundation and many others.


First Friday Sports Med Spotlight


Families who attended the popular First Friday event in downtown Lakeland earlier this month were eager to visit the Watson Clinic tent and hear from our exceptional team of Sports Medicine specialists who were in attendance.

Nutrition Matters at Crickette Club

Special thanks to Watson Clinic registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist Massiel Gilpin, RD, CDCES for speaking to a recent gathering of the popular community service group Crickette Club of Bartow, Inc. Massiel offered tips on healthy eating for both weight loss and the management of chronic conditions including diabetes.


PSCO Luncheon


Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital was a proud sponsor of the annual Polk County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, which took place from Lake Eva Event Center in Haines City on Wednesday, June 10 & Thursday, June 11. Watson Clinic ACLS Nurse Educator Claire Jaworksy, RN, BSN was on hand to share free giveaways and valuable information on the CPR classes she currently offers to community groups and the general public.
