Watson Clinic Highlands (pictured here) is a stunning two-story medical facility that offers expert primary care,
dermatology,
pediatrics,
obstetrics and gynecology,
otolaryngology (ENT),
facial plastic surgery and
Hearing Center services, as well as comprehensive
radiology capabilities, including CAT scan, DEXA bone density scanning, x-ray, ultrasound and
3D mammography, and an on-site
laboratory for faster test results and more efficient patient visits. On the far east side of the facility, patients and non-patients alike can receive walk-in care without an appointment from our
Watson Clinic XpressCare at Highlands office.
In 1969, Watson Clinic was the first medical clinic in the United States to achieve accreditation by the American Association of Medical Clinics. Every year since, Watson Clinic has achieved a highly coveted three-year accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. This honor attests to our adherence to national standards of excellence.
Lakeland Surgical & Diagnostic Center, LLP, the local surgery center co-owned by Watson Clinic and utilized by our surgeons for outpatient procedures, was one of 23 facilities in the country to receive an Apex Quality Award. This distinction recognizes outstanding healthcare organizations that demonstrate the highest levels of excellence in patient satisfaction throughout the United States.
Watson Clinic also maintains the only
sleep disorder center in the area to be accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. These achievements reflect our ongoing commitment to establishing a higher standard of care in our community.

Watson Clinic Women’s Center features Polk County’s most experienced and complete breast cancer program. An expert team comprised of fellowship trained
mammographers and
radiologists, dedicated

nurse navigators treat more breast cancer than any other medical facility in the area. The Women's Center is a beautiful, two-suite facility dedicated to elevating the wellness of women throughout our community. The Women's Center is the only breast care facility in the area to offer a variety of services such as the cryoablation of breast tissue.
Watson Clinic offers the convenience of two Pediatric offices in Lakeland, as well as round-the-clock coverage by our board-certified Pediatric Department. In addition to our office based physicians, we employ
Pediatric Hospitalists to ensure an effective delivery of care and rapid management of multiple issues that can occur during the course of hospitalization of our patients.
The
Watson Clinic Cancer & Research Center sets the benchmark for exceptional cancer care in our community. Our expert team of cancer specialists, including medical and
surgical oncologists,
radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, nurses,
social workers and
dietitians collaborate to create only the most comprehensive treatment protocols. Services include
chemotherapy,
clinical research, helical ultra-speed CT simulation, PET scan, radiation therapy, IMRT, IGRT, IGRS, mammosite therapy, ultrasound localization, patient education and support groups.
The Center for Cancer Care & Research allows our patients unprecedented access to the latest innovations in cancer care and involvement in groundbreaking research projects.
Our
gynecologic oncology department was the first in Polk County to successfully complete a hysterectomy using
robotic technology. Watson Clinic physicians have utilized this revolutionary, minimally invasive technology to perform a variety of
urologic and
cardiac procedures as well.
