The Watson Clinic Foundation proudly presented a check in the amount of $100,000 to the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida (BCFCF), an organization devoted to providing financial resources and personal support to individuals and families impacted by breast cancer. This is the first of three $100,000 donations the Watson Clinic Foundation will make to BCFCF over the next three years – for a grand total of $300,000.
The donation was presented during the BCFCF’s signature fundraising event – the 3rd Annual Pink Ribbon Gala - which was held on Friday, October 18 at the Haus 820 venue in downtown Lakeland. In addition to their generous donation, the Watson Clinic Foundation served as the Presenting Sponsor for the event.
“The Watson Clinic Foundation wants to do all we can to empower a healthier community,” said Watson Clinic Foundation Chairman of the Board Dr. Steven G. Achinger, MD prior to the check presentation. “That’s why we’re proud to be allied with the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida as they work to give help and hope to local families impacted by breast cancer.”
Since 1960, the Watson Clinic Foundation has worked to promote community wellness through education, research and service. These efforts include medical research funding, nursing scholarships, free health screenings, educational seminars and assistance to local organizations who share in their mission of empowering a healthier tomorrow for all.
