Watson Clinic Earns National Recognition as Patient Centered Medical Home

Watson Clinic recently achieved Level 3 Recognition as a Patient-Centered Medical Home from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a non-profit organization devoted to improving healthcare quality. This is the highest level of recognition offered by this distinguished organization, and it marks the second consecutive three-year term that Watson Clinic has received it.

To earn this recognition, Watson Clinic met a series of strict standards devised by the NCQA and in collaboration with the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics and American Osteopathic Association. These standards are designed to reflect an all-inclusive, convenient and consistent healthcare experience for each patient. Their criteria are based upon a variety of factors, including the establishment of an ongoing, personal relationship between a patient and their primary care provider, and the ability to coordinate carefully considered courses of treatment among each member of a patient’s care team.

For more than 75 years, Watson Clinic patients have been at the center of all they do. Whether it’s the doctors and nurses who provide treatment, the state-of-the-art technologies they offer, or the administrative team who works behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, all aspects of the operations are always focused on exceeding the needs of each individual patient. This recognition from the NCQA is a testament to these efforts.

This ‘Level 3 Recognition’ by the NCQA applies to five Watson Clinic locations, including the Main Clinic, Bartow, HighlandsSouth, North Pediatrics and Plant City facilities. The primary focus of these facilities is on providing primary care resources to new and established patients.

Watson Clinic’s Primary Care department features the talents of highly experienced family medicine and internal medicine physicians, the convenience of multiple locations and prompt appointment availability.  For more information and to schedule an appointment, call 863-680-7190.
