Education

Education is the key to improving the wellness of our community. The Foundation offers free educational programs on a variety of health-related topics. Facilitated by area medical professionals, programs address the impact of these diseases, the latest advances in their treatment and preventive measures that may be used to avoid or lessen the effects of various conditions. The centerpiece of these efforts is the Foundation’s annual Health Summit, an educational program specifically tailored to current health topics relevant to citizens in our local community.

The topics discussed at our educational outreach forums include a vast array of common health concerns including cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, geriatrics, osteoporosis, strokes and more.

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program exists to provide quality continuing medical education to physicians throughout Central Florida. In an ever-changing environment, these informative programs help keep the providers’ knowledge and level of expertise current while helping improve skills in order that they provide the best possible medical care to their patients. This education is in full compliance with the requirements set by the Florida Medical Association and the State of Florida.

The Watson Clinic Foundation also offers the Speakers Bureau. This is a service that provides up-to-date, invaluable healthcare information to community groups, businesses, churches and other various professional organizations.
