Breast Cancer Survivorship Workshop Series

Please fill in the application to be considered for the spring series.

The road to breast cancer survivorship requires tenacity, optimism, and lots of support. Once treatment has ended, it can be difficult for a survivor to acclimate to their new reality, especially when those avenues of support that were so prominent during their struggle suddenly disappear. That’s where the Breast Cancer Survivorship Series comes in.

The Watson Clinic Foundation’s Arts in Medicine (AIM) program is pleased to present a series of educational and creative workshops that empower survivors to reconnect with their community and their sense of self. These workshops are made possible thanks to a generous grant provided by the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation, an organization dedicated to ending the suffering caused by breast cancer through research, education, advocacy, living expense, mammogram, and medical item programs.

With the support of local partners - including the Polk Museum of Art, Satya Life Yoga, and the Garden Club of Lakeland - the Breast Cancer Survivorship Series will be offered twice yearly and consists of four classes per series. Series are now being offered as Tuesday or Thursday options. Classes in a series cannot be interchanged with the other series.
