Breast Cancer Survivorship Workshop
The road to breast cancer survivorship requires tenacity, optimism, and lots of support. Once treatment has ended, it can be difficult for a survivor to acclimate to their new reality, especially when those avenues of support that were so prominent during their struggle suddenly disappear. That’s where the Breast Cancer Survivorship Workshop comes in.
The Watson Clinic Foundation is pleased to present educational and creative workshops that empower survivors to reconnect with their community and their sense of self.

Oncologist-Hematologist Dr. Leonard Gitter and registered dietitian Massiel Gilpin. This event will explore what survivorship truly means beyond completing treatment. When are you a survivor? When does survivorship begin? Participants will redefine survivorship through education, discussion, and creative engagement while discovering resources that support emotional, physical, and social well-being after a cancer diagnosis.

Description: Join the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida, the Garden Club of Lakeland, and Watson Clinic Foundation for a hands-on workshop exploring the healing power of nature. Open to all cancer survivors—from the day of diagnosis onward—participants will create a miniature succulent garden while learning how connecting with nature can support emotional well-being, reduce stress, and foster resilience throughout the survivorship journey.
