Dr. Martinez is an Optometry specialist who treats patients from Watson Clinic Main at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. Her areas of expertise include comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages, and the management and treatment of complex eye diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye and glaucoma.

Dr. Martinez earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Bioscience from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, KY. She completed her Primary Care and Ocular Disease residency at Jacksonville North VA Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, and she is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

    I’ve always been passionate about science and service, and healthcare allows me to combine those interests.

  2. What made you choose your specialty?
    I find the complexity of the eyes fascinating and I truly enjoy making a positive impact in my patients’ lives by providing the best possible eye care.

  3. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
    I enjoy traveling, supporting local eateries and spending quality time with my family and friends

  4. What brought you to Central Florida?
    As a native Floridian who grew up in Lakeland, I couldn’t imagine a better place to practice and serve the community I’ve always called home.
