Dr. Shivangi Patel is an Interventional Cardiologist who treats patients from Watson Clinic Main at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland and Watson Clinic Parkway Medical Center at 4060 Lakeland Highlands Rd. in south Lakeland.
Her areas of expertise include cardiogenic shock, complex percutaneous coronary intervention, and cardiovascular disease prevention.
Dr. Patel received her medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL. She completed an Internal Medicine residency and Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Orlando Health - Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, FL, as well as a Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Orlando Health – Orlando Regional Medical Center and Lake Nona Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Orlando, FL. She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Society of Critical Care Medicine, Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Patel is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac Computed Tomography. She is multi-lingual in English, Gujarati and Spanish.

The ability to make a positive, lasting impact on a person's health
2. What made you choose your specialty?
I love being able to make an immediate and life-saving impact on patients with a large focus on preventative medicine. Interventional Cardiology is a rapidly growing field with more procedures able to be conducted through minimally invasive approaches. The advances in cardiogenic shock management have saved many lives and I want to be a part of that.
3. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Playing with my dog, Watson!
4. What brought you to Central Florida?
I grew up here and did all my training in Central Florida.
5. What brought you to Watson Clinic?
Watson Clinic is the dominant medical provider in Lakeland, my hometown. The other physicians of the practice are excellent physicians and even better humans!
