1. What inspired you to get into healthcare?
I prayed one evening at the request of my wife, for God to give my life direction, and through a dream He led me to nursing and ultimately to become an advanced practitioner.
2. What made you choose your specialty?
I have always been called to help those most in need, so acute care was easy. Cardiology has been a passion that coexisted with that since day one.
3. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
First and foremost, I enjoy going to church and serving on the safety team as medical response personnel. I love being with my family and have recently caught the golf bug.
4. What brought you to Central Florida?
I moved to Central Florida in 2001 when my family returned from living in the Bahamas. My mother worked for U.S. Customs and Border Protection and served a six-year term. I was 15 years old and she relocated us to Clermont, Florida to allow us a safer upbringing than we would’ve been exposed to had we moved back to Hialeah where I am originally from.
5. What brought you to Watson Clinic?
Dr. Canto and his “can do” attitude. Sitting in a zoom meeting with him for a little over an hour was more than enough to know that he is the real deal. I appreciate the leader and type of provider he is.
