COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine

COVID-19 Pfizer Vaccine Appointments:

Watson Clinic is administering Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine (2023-2024 Formula) to qualifying pediatric patients 6 months through 4 years of age. These vaccines are given as a three-dose series. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine (2023-2024 Formula) encodes the spike protein of SARS-COV-2 Omicron variant lineage XBB.1.5 (Omicron XBB.1.5). The use of monovalent and bivalent vaccines has been discontinued.

The COVID shot may cause minor side effects in some children including pain, redness or swelling at the injection site where your child got the shot, tiredness, headache, muscle pain, chills, fever and nausea. If your child experiences any of these side effects, you should ask their pediatrician for tips or non-aspirin medications that might be useful.

Please note these COVID-19 vaccines may not fully protect your child until one to two weeks after you receive your third shot. It takes time for your body to build antibody protection after any vaccination.
