The Watson Clinic Foundation, in partnership with the Breast Cancer Foundation of Central Florida, is pleased to present Redefining Survivorship, an inspiring and instructive workshop designed to empower breast cancer survivorship in our community. Taking place on Tuesday, September 1 at 6 pm from the Watson Clinic Main library at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland, this event will explore what survivorship truly means beyond the completion of treatment, and work to redefine the survivorship process through education, discussion, and creative engagement. Participants will be provided with resources that support their emotional, physical and social well-being following a breast cancer diagnosis.
In addition, the event will feature informative presentations from Watson Clinic Cancer & Research Center board-certified Oncologist-Hematologist Leonard Gitter, MD and Watson Clinic registered dietitian Massiel Gilpin, RD, CDCES.
This free workshop is open to current breast cancer patients, survivors from the day of diagnosis, treatment and beyond, along with their caregivers. For more information and to RSVP, visit WatsonClinic.com/Events.
