Watson Clinic is pleased to introduce the following new additions to their team of expert physicians.
Robert C. McLean, MD, PhD is an Otolaryngology (ENT) specialist who treats patients from Watson Clinic Plant City at 615 E. Alexander St. in Plant City, and Watson Clinic Bartow Building A at 2250 Osprey Blvd., Suite 100 in Bartow. His areas of expertise include the treatment of chronic ear disease, head and neck cancer, voice and swallowing disorders, pediatric ENT issues, and cochlear implant surgery for profound deafness.
Dr. McLean received his medical degree from Texas A & M College of Medicine in College Station, TX, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics degree from Duke University in Durham, NC. He performed his Internship and Residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. McLean is multi-lingual in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Josephine Shinn, MD is a Breast Surgery specialist who treats patients from Watson Clinic Parkway Medical Center at 4060 Lakeland Highlands Rd. in south Lakeland. Her areas of expertise include the treatment of breast cancer, breast conserving surgery, minimally invasive biopsy techniques, breast cancer survivorship, nipple sparing mastectomy, oncoplastic breast surgery/hidden scar, benign breast disease, high risk breast lesions, and patients at a high risk or elevated lifetime risk for breast cancer. Dr. Shinn received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC.
She completed her General Surgery Residency at Virginia Tech – Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA and a Breast Surgery Oncology Fellowship at the University of Alabama – Birmingham in Birmingham, AL. She is a member of the Florida Medical Association and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
