Watson Clinic recently welcomed the following new additions to their team of expert physicians and providers.
Ruby E. Martinez, OD is an Optometry specialist who treats patients from Watson Clinic Main at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. Her areas of expertise include comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages, and the management and treatment of complex eye diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye and glaucoma.
Dr. Martinez earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Bioscience from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Kentucky College of Optometry in Pikeville, KY. She completed her Primary Care and Ocular Disease residency at Jacksonville North VA Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, and she is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Tampa in Tampa, FL. She received her board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
