The laboratories at Watson Clinic South and Highlands recently achieved reaccreditation status from the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation (COLA), one of the leading physician-directed laboratory accreditors in the United States. These accreditations, which are valid for a period of two years, are only presented to laboratories that apply the highest standards of quality in day-to-day operations, demonstrate continued accuracy in the performance of proficiency testing, and pass a rigorous on-site laboratory survey. The Watson Clinic South laboratory is located at 1033 N. Parkway Frontage Rd. in south Lakeland, and the laboratory at Watson Clinic Highlands is located at 2300 E. County Road 540A in south Lakeland
In addition to the South and Highlands laboratories, Watson Clinic also operates a lab at Watson Clinic Main, as well as a Mohs Surgery and first floor Histology lab at the Watson Clinic Bella Vista Building, that are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). All on-site laboratories are licensed by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) program.
Last year, Watson Clinic conducted 4.3 million laboratory tests. For more information on Watson Clinic’s laboratory services, visit WatsonClinic.com/Lab.
