On September 21, 2026, Watson Clinic board-certified Hand Surgery specialist Rachel Lefebvre, MD and her team conducted the first set of surgeries performed at the new Watson Clinic Surgery Center South facility.

Their hard work, and this beautiful new facility, represents a great step forward toward expanding access to healthcare in our community.”

 

Dr. Lefebvre will perform a host of procedures from Watson Clinic Surgery Center South, including those that treat carpal tunnel syndrome, hand and wrist fractures, arthritis, peripheral nerve damage, Dupuytren’s contracture and much more.

This initial set of surgeries set the stage for a rigorous survey and accreditation process by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Once received, the facility will open for a wide range of surgical procedures on a full-time basis.

 

In addition to Watson Clinic Surgery Center South, the clinic continues to operate a second outpatient surgical facility - Watson Clinic Surgery Center - at 1315 N. Florida Ave. in Lakeland.

 

Dr. Lefebvre accepts patient appointments from both Watson Clinic Main at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in north Lakeland and Watson Clinic Parkway Medical Center at 4060 Lakeland Highlands Rd. in south Lakeland. She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She performed her Orthopaedic Surgery internship and residency at George Washington University in Washington, DC, and a Hand Surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Lefebvre is board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Hand Surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
