Watson Clinic officials were joined by Mayor Buddy Fletcher and executives representing the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce to take
part in a groundbreaking of an exciting new 50,000+ square foot, three-story
medical office building located on the corner of North Florida Avenue and East
Bella Vista Street. The new
construction will house the following departments:
·
Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat, Facial Plastic
& Reconstructive Surgery, Head & Neck Surgery)
·
Dermatology (the treatment of skin and its diseases)
and Dermatopathology (with on-site Pathology Lab)
·
Medical Spa with private entrance/exit (cosmetic and
non-surgical alternatives for facial rejuvenation)
·
Hearing Center (audiological examinations and a full
inventory of hearing devices)
Approximately 11 physicians and five physician
assistants will occupy the medical offices at first, with space reserved for
additional growth. Estimated completion
date is expected around January of 2009.
Since 1941, Watson Clinic has built a legacy of
healthcare excellence that has grown into one of the largest medical practices
in Florida, while providing only the highest quality service and the latest
cutting-edge technologies. “The new medical office building is a welcome
addition to Polk County’s healthcare landscape,” said Dr. Louis Saco, chief
executive officer of Watson Clinic, “and we look forward to servicing the needs
of the community for many generations to come.”
The new medical office building will mark Watson
