APRN/PA - Nephrology (FT) - Lakeland, FL
FT Nurse Practitioner with Adult Certification or Physician Assistant with NCCPA certification is needed to join 2 Physicians in their growing clinic practice of Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Qualifications:
- APRN/PA board certification, BLS & PALS certification, and an active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain an FL license) are required.
- New Grads accepted. We will train!
- Dialysis Experience is preferred but NOT required.
- You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work some weekends.
- A desire to deliver care empathetically and compassionately to patients with complex, chronic illnesses.
- Excellent communication skills to listen and communicate with patients and teammates.
- Intermediate computer skills and proficiency are required.
Responsibilities:
- Be a part of a team that supports and relies on each other in a positive environment.
- Hours for appointments are Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm (or until all patients are seen).
- In addition to administrative duties, perform clinical duties under direct physician supervision.
- Process patient phone messages, returning calls and routing them to other team members as appropriate; call patients to obtain and relay pertinent information to the physician.
- Support physicians and patients through various patient care management, organization, and communication tasks.
- The position requires participation in on-call rotation, night, weekend, holiday, or as defined by clinic needs.
- Travel to clinical sites in Lakeland surrounding area is required. Must have reliable transportation.
