APRN/PA- Internal and Obesity Medicine (FT) with Dr. Chiques - Lakeland , FL

Full-time Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed to join an established practice at our Main Clinic for their office-based practice. Hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (or until all patients are seen).
At least 1+ years of previous experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care office is preferred.
Job Duties include:
- Providing comprehensive primary healthcare to adult patients, including ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests within the scope of practice
- Accurately performs a history and physical examinations
- Consults, co-manages, and refers patients as appropriate
- Prescribes medications as delegated in protocol and procedures
- Completes necessary documentation promptly
- Writes orders for medications, treatments, tests & IV fluids consistent with the scope of practice of the APRN/PA and the overseeing Physician
- Providing an assessment of the patient's medical, physical & psychological status
- Documents examination results & records progress notes and provides continuity of care.
- Call details are available upon request.
BLS certification is required.
APRN/PA board certification is required.
Active, unrestricted FL license (or the ability to obtain FL license) is required
