Galina Vugman, MD, a Watson Clinic hematologist/oncologist who practices at the Center for Cancer Care & Research, recently received her board-certification in Medical Oncology and Hematology. As a hematologist-oncologist, Dr. Vugman uses medical and chemotherapeutic methods to treat cancer, and specializes in malignancies of the blood and blood-forming tissues.
Dr. Vugman received her medical degree from Rush University in Chicago, IL. She performed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the Rush University Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in palliative medicine. She completed an additional fellowship in hematology-oncology at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Dr. Vugman is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and the National Council of Hospice and Palliative Professionals. She joined Watson Clinic in August 2009. Dr. Vugman is also board-certified in internal medicine and hospice & palliative care.
