Watson Clinic was established in 1941 in Lakeland, Florida. At that time, a medical group comprised of two surgeons, two internist, and a urologist, whose professional unity had already been established, officially became known as The Watson Clinic LLP. The Clinic remained a single practice proprietorship until 1954.
Dr. Herman Watson, the founder of the Clinic, retired that year, and the original founding partners formed a general partnership. Since that time, the Clinic has remained a general partnership of physicians, growing in number and diversity of specialties.
Over the years many new services have been added to allow us to continue to provide the most contemporary care for our patients. The Clinic logs about 800,000 patient visits annually and more that 1,000 physicians in Florida have referred patients to Watson Clinic for specialty care.
